I am based in Budapest and Monor for the last year and have had 2 providers in that time. Both MTT and dijnet.hu have been good providers I have no major issues in that time their connection.3. Dave on September 8, 2008, 10:39 pm
The MTT connection was through the phone line and they had a a good promotional deal at the time for a year contract at 6900HUF with a choice of 1 of 2 freebie gifts at sign up. The speed was I think 6 mb download 750 kb.
In regards HSDPA well i have never used it here in Hungary but from my expierence in Ireland it cannot provide the same reliablity and quality as a fix line service though this is due to the technology rather than any one provider. Its real advantage though is mobility and its speed of course which is one of the best for wireless/mobile solutions.
The dijnet cable DSL connection is in my new apartment and whilst the cost is higher 7600 huf the speed and quality of the connection is much better than the phone line dsl from MTT. This is always the advantage of cable over phone line.

I depends where you are based really.
If you are based in Budapest - I can recdommend HSDPA from Vodafone. 5000ft per month for 10GB download at about 1.5Mbps - I have a T-Online ADSL connection at home also, but I must say that the HSDPA is great for travelling and I could actually do without my T-Online connection as the HSDPA is almost as good as the DSL line.
Oh, btw... I am paying 9000ft per month for a ADSL line from T-Online that gets about 1.5Mbps also.
Setup for an ADSL line can take a few weeks though :(
In my opinion... just go for the HSDPA option from Vodafone.
Good Luck!
Dave
Hey everyone, I have already a DSL connection from axelero but I'm thinking of switching to some another provider. Share some of your experiences or maybe do some recommendations. Thanks.1. quiote on May 14, 2004, 11:26 am
