Topic: Having a baby in Hungary

My partner and I have recently moved to Hungary due to my partners job. I am currently 29 weeks pregnant and will be giving birth at the Telki hospital. My bab y is due on the 18th October.

I am finding conflicting advice about the registering of the baby's birth and am hoping you can help me.

My partner and i are not married, but we would like the baby to have his surname. At home this would be no problem, we would just both have to be be present when registering the birth. Apparently this is not the case in Hungary and we may have problems having Richards name on on the birth certificate as the father? Can you give me any advice on this?
