Come on down to Batthyani Ter any Sunday at 11:30am and join the Budapest Hash House Harriers. We meet at the wall overlooking the Duna and then normally drive in cars to the start. The group is comprised of both expats and locals of all ages who enjoy a Sunday run or walk trying to follow the trail laid by the "hares". Afterwards (and before) we enjoy some beer and ribald humor and songs. Most of the time the fee is only 500Huf to defray the cost of the beer provided. The Hash is noncompetitive and there are Hash groups in almost every major city in the world (and some minor ones). The Hash was started in 1938 in Kuala Lumpur Malaysia. Wondering when we all meet and would love to share thoughts of what hungary is like and stop laughing to myself at how the very macho men have the tinest dogs in teh world - fantastic
